Intuit‘s been evolving as a company and as a small business technology provider over the past few years. Moving way beyond accounting software, the company’s mission is, according to CEO Brad Smith, “improve the financial lives of people.” That mission shapes the transformation as Intuit moves from selling products to providing services and from providing applications to becoming a full-blown platform provider.

Small business analyst (and frequent contributor to this website) Laurie McCabe recently attended Intuit’s Innovation Gallery Walk and summarizes a few of the key services the company plans to offer small businesses, as well as some that are still in the research and development stage.
