At a time when companies are looking for any way to cut costs, telecommuting provides an effective way to substantially trim the budget, increase productivity, attract top-notch employee s and lift morale.

For the skeptics out there, it’s not just employees who see the up side to telecommuting. Greg Baker, CFO of Logicalis and a columnist at our sister site, CIOUpdate, offers his take on the financial benefits of telecommuting.



The convergence of economics and technical advances increasingly make telework a necessity instead of a wish-list item for businesses today. It’s my belief that those organizations not using available technology to enable and expand their own virtual work force are leaving a windfall unclaimed.
