PCWorld: Organize Your Outlook Emails With Single Click

Liane Cassavoy says Single Click Filing for Outlook does one thing – filing Outlook emails in folders – well, but doesn’t add any other functions, including some it might.

“I know that sorting my Outlook e-mail into folders will keep my inbox neat and tidy. But I don’t use my folders nearly as often as I should. It’s not that sorting messages is hard or even all that time consuming; it’s just that Outlook’s process for doing so is not as streamlined as it could be. That’s where Caelo Software’s Single Click Filing for Outlook comes in. This $5 utility lives up to its name, allowing you to file multiple messages into your Outlook folders with a single click of the mouse.

Single Click Filing for Outlook adds the eponymous feature that Outlook is missing.Single Click Filing works best with the 2003 and 2007 versions of Outlook. (A dedicated version for Outlook 2010 is expected soon; until that’s ready, Outlook 2010 users may find the utility a bit harder to use.) It lets you place shortcuts to your Outlook folders in a toolbar that appears across the top of your Outlook window. Unfortunately, you can’t use Single Click Filing to create new folders; you can only add folders that you’ve already created. You can, however, change the name of the folder that displays in the Single Click Filing toolbar.”
