PCmag@Work (Small Business): Office 2010 – ‘Dazzlingly Attractive’ But No Upgrade Price

It’s available starting today. This story links to a full review of the new product and a chart analyzing pricing of various Office editions.

“Microsoft officially launched Office 2010 today: It’s a dazzlingly attractive upgrade that will please power users. Corporate customers can buy it via resellers or download a 60-day free trial via TechNet. A boxed copy of Office 2010 will cost up to $499 ($399 with a product key card).

One big change in pricing since the last release is that Microsoft is no longer offering upgrade pricing discounts. Microsoft representatives attributed this change to the fact that instead of using upgrade pricing, users have been purchasing new versions when they buy new computers. Read our detailed breakdown of Office 2010 pricing for more information.”
