InformationWeek SMB: New Laser Printers For SMBs From Dell

Dell is trying to entrench itself in the business printer market and this offering of eight new laser models offering low printing costs, reliability and high productivity should help.

“Dell announced 8 new black and white printers today, including 2 multifunction and 2 single function printers targeted to small and midsize businesses. With latest editions to the printer product line, the Round Rock, Texas-based vendor now offers 25 laser printers and continues to pursue market share in the SMB and enterprise printer markets.

As Dell seeks to establish a solid presence in the business printer market, its 3-point value proposition should appeal to SMBs in good times and bad: cost, reliability, and support. Dell claims an industry-leading total cost of printing with an emphasis on low-cost printing consumables (i.e., toner). Dell also boasts competitive duty cycle numbers and backs up its printers with 1 and 3-year warranties it claims exceed competitor offerings.”
