There are a lot of problems with today’s browsers that need fixing, Dvorak says. Will the competition sparked by the release of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 9 push developers to fix them?

Microsoft is back into the browser war game. Its first war was against Netscape, which Microsoft won. Netscape folks pulled a fast one on Microsoft by putting its code into an open source project, which became Mozilla, which became Firefox. Firefox became the dominant choice and war number two was underway.”
