Biz Bytes: Google Local Business Center Adds New Features

A quick overview of changes – for the better – to Google’s site where local businesses advertise on the Web. A new dashboard tops the list.

“Google has added new features to its popular Local Business Center.

First, Google has added a dashboard showing you how often your local business listing is displayed and for what keywords. Google also tracks not only impressions (displays), but also click-throughs to more information and to your Web site. The dashboard also counts requests for directions and displays the total requests by zip code on a local map.

Second, Google has improved on your ability to add an online coupon to your business listing. Coupons are now available in mobile phone form. Customers can display your coupon in their cell phones and show it to you at checkout.”
