PCMag@Work (Small Business): Dropbox File Sync Now Even Better

Links to Dropbox files and folders appear in a new Web view. Enhancements coming later include password protection and file access expiration.

“Dropbox, one of our favorite cloud-based automatic file-synchronization services, has added a new feature that brings deeper functionality: You can now share files by creating a link to any individual file or folder.

These links are presented in a new Web view that lets users view or play shared files in their browsers. In order to use this feature, however, you must download and install Dropbox 0.8 beta–it’s not a feature in the current build.”
