PCmag@Work (Small Business): Canon Launches New LCD Multimedia Projectors

The new products have high lumen (brightness) to accommodate well-lit meeting rooms, multiple inputs and eco-friendly features. They will ship in April.

“Canon is expanding its line of LCD multimedia projectors with two new 1,280-by-800 widescreen models plus four new 1024-by-768 versions, geared to educational and business presenters. The former have a 16:10 aspect ratio, making them ideal for use with today’s widescreen notebook and desktop computers.

“The two new WXGA resolution models (the LV-8310 and LV-8215 LCD Multimedia Projectors) join the four new XGA models (the LV-7385, LV-7380, LV-7285 and LV-7280) as high-lumen options for classrooms or meeting rooms where ambient light exists and cannot be controlled. The new projectors are rated as follows: LV-7385: 3,500 lumens; LV-8310 and LV-7380: 3,000 lumens; LV-8215 and LV-7285: 2,600 lumens; and LV-7280: 2,200 lumens.”
