PCMag@Work (Small Business): Box.net Adds Online Viewing of All Files

It’s not enough anymore to just store or even share files online. Users need a bit more access. So, short of providing the applications to edit them, Box.net has now integrated file viewing into its Cloud Content Management service.

Rather than download a file to see what the contents are, Box.net users can check them out online. That goes for just about every major file type: MS Office (even Office 2007 files), OpenOffice, Photoshop & Illustrator, MP3s, video, images, and even programming files for HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The company says the file types supported cover 99 percent of all the content found on the service.
