It used to be that companies banned, or at least heavily discouraged, the use of personal technology devices at work. But times have changed with the rapid popularity of smartphones and tablets, and now more companies encourage the use of employee-owned mobile devices; so much so that the trend has its own catchphrase — the consumerization of IT.
