“A little over a year after the release of Windows 7, businesses have finally started updating their aging PCs, which had mostly been running Windows XP–a decade old operating system. Several studies have shown that there has been accelerated business adoption of Microsoft’s latest desktop OS. Vista’s bad rep was mostly to blame as many businesses bypassed updating to that flawed operating system. But if your company is one of the bold few that made the move to Vista, don’t fret. The update to Windows 7 is far smoother.

Whether your company has skipped Vista or has made (or is about to make) the jump from XP to Windows 7, you’ll find plenty of new features designed to make your day to day computing a breeze. Many of Windows 7’s conveniences are well known to anyone who’s done some basic research–the ability to tone down User Account Control messages when doing things like installing software (which was a huge annoyance in Windows Vista) pinning application icons to the Taskbar, and Jump Lists that offer more choices when starting a program. Instead, we chose to take a deeper dive and detail some of the less obvious features.”
