Excellence in Technology Awards: Call for Nominations

Oct 15, 2008

Every year we send out the call for you to nominate the products and services that made a difference in your business. This year, the economic crisis emphatically underscores the important role technology can play when it comes to cutting costs, increasing productivity and conserving resources.

What products and services helped your business the most in the past year? Maybe collaboration software let your employees work effectively from home; perhaps a Smartphone let you attend to clients from the road; or maybe energy-efficient PCs and servers lowered your electric bill? Your recommendation could make a huge difference for other small business owners.

We’ll use your nominations to pick the finalists for the 2009 Small Business Computing Excellence in Technology Awards. This year’s awards comprise 20 categories spanning hardware, software/services, security and e-commerce products. Please take a few minutes to nominate the best products you bought, leased or subscribed to this year.

To be eligible, products must have been either released or significantly upgraded between January 1 and October 30, 2008. You don’t have to make a nomination in each category, but we encourage you to nominate in as many categories as you feel comfortable.

We’ll keep the nomination process open until Nov. 11. On Tuesday Nov. 25, we’ll post a list of finalists so that you can vote for your favorites. Polls close at midnight EST on January 9, 2009. On January 28, 2009, we’ll announce the winners.
