PeerStor, Inc. announced that it is shipping its flagship software product, PeerStor WS, for backup, failover and disaster recovery. According to the company, PeerStor is a solution that's designed to provide business continuity and data protection for any type of business.
The company says that its PeerStor WS offers an inexpensive and easy-to-use software program that allows users to mirror/replicate their data directly from their client/workstation to multiple locations in real-time. Furthermore, if there is a failure at the primary location where their data is saved, PeerStor is designed to perform an automatic failover so users won't experience interruptions.
The location/drives can be any drive device such as a server, NAS or a computer drive and can be local (on the network LAN) or remote (sent to another city over the WAN). The location/drive is configured by the user/administrator and the company says that the setup can be done in less than a minute. Once the locations/drives are setup the product should require no additional maintenance and work quietly in the background.
PeerStor is designed to run on a Windows client/workstation and mirror data in real time to any Operation System. By sending data to multiple locations simultaneously, PeerStor may eliminate the single point of failure in most client/server solutions and create maximum redundancy for high availability.
Availability and Pricing
PeerStor WS is available now for an estimated street price of US $150/client. For more information, please visit the company's website at www.peerstor.com.
