DYMO, a manufacturer of labelmakers for over 40 years, has introduced its newest PC-connected label printer for office and commercial applications. According to the company, its LabelMANAGER PC provides an easy way to print permanent, high quality color labels of any length. In the office these labels may be ideal for organizing file folders, presentation folders, disks, CDs, as well as for marking file cabinet drawers, shelves, notebook computers, electrical and datacom panels and much more. In commercial applications, these labels are ideal for warehouse shelving, price marking, bar codes and hundreds of other applications.

The LabelMANAGER PC connects to a Windows PC through a USB port. It comes with software that follows the familiar user interface of Microsoft Word. The software enables users to design labels using a wide variety of fonts, graphics, and bar codes, and to format labels with borders and patterns. A "Smart Paste" feature enables users to print a set of labels matching text copied from Microsoft Word, a range of cells copied from Microsoft Excel, or data from a comma separated (CSV) file. Standard Windows print drivers enable users to print labels directly from other programs.

The LabelMANAGER PC uses standard DYMO D1 tapes, available in sizes from 1/4" to 1" wide. It has a small footprint (just 3" x 5") and is designed to print silently. It comes complete with a USB cable, power supply, software, manual and a starter tape. The LabelMANAGER PC works with Windows 98, 2000, Me and XP. It is available from office supply and computer resellers for an estimated street price of $99.
