Small business interest in server virtualization is on the rise, and it's important that small business owners understand that these virtual machines still require an actual back up. The good news is that you don’t have to spend a fortune to back up virtual servers that use Hyper-V for Windows Server 2008. Joseph Walker over at SMBNation describes his affordable method (and adds a bonus freebie tactic) for backing up virtual servers.
Even as little as one year ago, I would have never predicted that SMB owners would be interested in virtualizing their servers. But once again, the cloud has outpaced my expectations.
