When it comes to mobile operating systems, Apple's iOS clearly takes the lead in terms of smartphone security. Its stringent policies leave the Android OS trailing in its wake. Carl Weinschenk discusses the issues involved as Google works to improve the Android security, including the new version of the operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich, which could appear as early as October.
