Seeking a Cure for Bloated Android Smartphones

If you own one of the new Android smartphones, you've probably noticed that it comes loaded with apps, many of which are trialware, and most of them conspire to suck the life out of the battery. It harkens back to all that unwanted software on desktop PCs. Can anything be done to avoid this annoying reality?


My Android phone has something in common with my desktop PC. It’s riddled with junk. Apps I didn’t install and can’t get rid of, “skins” that make my phone slower and less stable, and who knows what else—all contributing to the fractured headache that has become life with Android.
