Some small business owners will never feel secure enough to trust their business data to a cloud storage company, and news of online storage security gone wrong doesn't soothe anyone's nerves. But like most things in life, the issue of online storage security isn't black and white. Pam Baker takes a look at the issues involved and comes up with information SMBs need in order to know whether cloud-based storage is in their future.


The question of data security in the cloud is always touchy and it really doesn't help when controversies like the recent Dropbox dust-up come along. It would be better, think the security-conscious folks, to keep the data center grounded in the first place.
