Have you been waiting for an alternative to Apple's (and AT & T's) iPad? Then you'll want to mark Nov. 14 on your calendar as the day Samsung Galaxy Tab becomes available through Sprint. Of course, the Galaxy Tab will be available on all four major carriers, unlike some other tablet we could mention.

Sprint has come forward as the latest carrier to detail pricing and availability for the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy Tab, a tablet computer that some analysts and observers see as one of the more credible competitors to Apple's iPad.

On Monday, Sprint said that it would begin shipping the Android-powered device Nov. 14, for $399 and a choice of a 2 GB data plan for $29.99 a month or a 5 GB plan for $59.99 a month.
