Dell Says Goodbye to Windows XP

If you're in the market for new small business computers loaded with Windows XP, you'd better act now – immediately in fact. The deadline for computer manufacturer's to stop shipping new PCs with Windows XP is October 22, and Dell plans to stop offering XP as an option this month. HardwareCentral.com has all the details.


Corporate purchasing managers have had plenty of warning that Microsoft would eventually stop letting PC makers continue to sell new machines with Windows XP installed.

Dell now says it will stop selling XP machines this month, a decision that must be a relief for Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT).
