Email newsletters are an extremely effective small business marketing strategy, but only if your customers actually open the newsletter. If you're lucky enough to have customers (current and prospective) read what you sent, you need to make sure the content is exciting and relevant. According to Dean Levitt, the head of customer relations and marketing at Mad Mimi, a Brooklyn, New York-based email marketing company, you literally have just seconds to capture customers' attention with your email.
