The new Netgear ReadyNAS Pro products allow small businesses to store data locally on the NAS but also automatically back it up to the cloud using the Egnyte service.
"Cloud file server provider Egnyte and Netgear have teamed up to deliver Netgear ReadyNAS Pro devices preinstalled with Egnyte as an add-on. The joint Netgear-Egynte venture means a new line of ReadyNAS Pro products that allows businesses to have local or remote access to content. Touted benefits include faster access speed, improved performance and better data protection.
The Egnyte-enhanced ReadyNAS Pro automatically synchronizes the online cloud with a local ReadyBAS Pro. As a hybrid solution, it allows users to access, share and collaborate from any location, and can be integrated into existing directory services to further streamline management."
