DuckDuck and Blekko, two upstart search engine companies, are partnering so that users of their two services will benefit from both technologies - Blekko's curated search results and DuckDuck's spam-removing algorithms.

On the one side, theres Blekko, which debuted Nov. 1 after spending three years in development, using nearly $25 million in venture capital from some of Silicon Valleys top investors to build a full-scale search infrastructure. Less than a month after the public launch, Blekko is attracting a million queries a day to its slashtag search system. Its algorithm searches only pre-approved sites in seven areas, including health, personal finance, cars and travel."
