"SAS has unveiled Social Media Analytics, a product that lets businesses monitor reputations (either theirs or their competitors) by product line across Twitter, Facebook, and other social networks as well as the online press, according to Bank Systems & Technology.
The service, which utilizes natural language processing algorithms, lets businesses archive and analyze over two years of social media conversations from Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, as well as Web site discussion forums and independent blogs. It displays a dashboard showing sentiments about a given company's products or brands, the report said."
