PCmag@Work (Small Business): Microsoft's MultiPoint Server 2010

Similar to a product announced yesterday by Userful, this one allows multiple thin client devices to access computing resources on a single computer over the network. Mainly aimed at education, but it could deliver savings to cash-strapped SMBs too.

"Microsoft announced today the global launch of Windows MultiPoint Server 2010, which allows multiple users to share one computer at the same time.

MultiPoint Server combines Microsoft's multipoint technology and Remote Desktop Services. This allows multiple users to have their own remote desktops from a single, physical machine. It's sold as a separate SKU and not bundled with other Windows Server products."
