Dell to Sell PCs at Best Buy

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Dell Inc (DELL.O: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Thursday it plans to sell its personal computers at gadget outlet Best Buy Inc (BBY.N: Quote, Profile, Research), its latest push into retail stores after decades selling only via the telephone or Internet.

Dell said it will offer its XPS and Inspiron notebook and desktop computers “in the next few weeks.” It said the pact puts its products in nearly 10,000 stores around the world.

The Round Rock, Texas-based company took its first step into retail in June when it started selling its PCs in Wal-Mart Stores Inc (WMT.N: Quote, Profile, Research) outlets in North America.
