Siebel CRM OnDemand: The First Quarter Is On Us

Siebel Systems, a provider of customer relationship management (CRM) software, and its business partner IBM, are now offering the first 90 days of Siebel CRM OnDemand for free.

Of course, the offer is only good when a small- or medium-sized business agrees to contract for a one-year service term. Additionally, a minimum of five user seats is required to qualify for this offer and the deal is only available through March 2004.

During the first 90-day period of service, customers will also receive access to gold-level support, an around-the-clock help desk service, for free. After 90 days customers may opt out of the support service at no cost.

Siebel CRM OnDemand, is jointly developed, distributed, and serviced by Siebel Systems and IBM. The two companies teamed up in Oct. 2003 to design the service that has been specifically crafted to meet the needs of growing SMBs.

Siebel CRM OnDemand is a hosted, pay-as-you-go offering delivered over the Web. The service is accessible from any computer with Internet access and a browser. Siebel CRM OnDemand is offered at a fixed price — $70 per user per month.

The beauty of the system is that Customers can deploy Siebel CRM OnDemand quickly, without any upfront information technology (IT) investments. Because it’s a hosted service, Siebel CRM OnDemand has the ability to grow and adapt as business systems change over time.

Siebel CRM OnDemand delivers complete sales, marketing, and service functionality. It can also be used as a virtual call center for sales-oriented organizations and has customer analytics built into the system.

Keith Raffel, Siebel CRM OnDemand vice president, said the move was made to offer the service for free in order to make the purchase decision easier for SMBs.

“This offer represents a one-time opportunity to benefit from a solution delivered by the industry leaders in CRM and hosted applications at a compelling price point,” Raffel said. “The message to our prospects is a simple one — the first quarter is on us.”

SMBs signing up for the introductory pricing offer will have access to Siebel’s time-tested best practices in CRM, as well as any continued enhancements as they are released throughout the term of service. Recent enhancements include the addition of virtual call center technology, offline capabilities, Outlook e-mail integration, and Web Services integration.

Siebel CRM OnDemand is one of the IT industry’s first and only hosted CRM solution designed to work in conjunction with “on-premise” Siebel CRM systems. Sharing a common data model with Siebel 7 applications, Siebel CRM OnDemand offers an easy migration path to on-premise Siebel CRM systems.

By supporting seamless integration between Siebel CRM OnDemand and Siebel enterprise applications, Siebel Systems delivers the next generation in CRM — namely, hybrid solutions that combine the low-cost and low-maintenance benefits of a hosted CRM solution with enterprise-class functionality.
