Intuit Boosts Payroll and HR Offerings

Intuit, the maker of QuickBooks, has released three new additions to its payroll services offerings designed to help small- and medium-sized businesses manage their payroll and human resource tasks more efficiently. Included in the expanded trio of office productivity tools is Complete Payroll for QuickBooks Online Edition, E-File & Pay for QuickBooks Do-it-Yourself Payroll, and Intuit Payroll Services Complete Payroll HR Assistant.

Individually, the new offerings strengthen Intuit’s ability to better meet the payroll needs of small- and mid-sized business, while together they further deliver on the company’s “Right For My Business” strategy by providing small businesses with mission critical services that go beyond core accounting applications.

Elliot Cooperstone, Employer Services Group vice president and general manager, said small businesses are demanding flexible, easy-to-use office solutions and Intuit fits the bill.

“Complete Payroll for QuickBooks Online Edition, E-File & Pay for QuickBooks Do-it-Yourself Payroll and Complete Payroll’s HR Assistant all help deliver on those critical needs for QuickBooks businesses to levels that competitors cannot match” Cooperstone said.

Complete Payroll for QuickBooks Online Edition
Intuit’s Complete Payroll is a full service payroll solution that seamlessly updates data not only into QuickBooks, but now also into QuickBooks Online Edition, providing small businesses with a comprehensive accounting and full-service payroll solution. The new offering maximizes productivity and provides business insight through flexible reporting capabilities that can be accessed on the road, at home or the office.

E-File & Pay for QuickBooks Do-It-Yourself Payroll
Fully integrated with QuickBooks accounting software, QuickBooks Do-It-Yourself Payroll gives business owners all of the tools and tax tables they need to manage their payroll. Plus timely updates to ensure they stay compliant with ever evolving tax laws.

Do-It-Yourself Payroll is now available with E-File & Pay options. The state forms and eFiling are licensed from Aatrix Software. With the click of a button, federal and quarterly state forms are filed and tax liability paid, allowing small businesses to save time by filing and paying federal and state payroll taxes electronically.

Intuit guarantees that filings will be made on time, reducing the possibility of costly fines. Due to the QuickBooks integration, E-File & Pay eliminates the need to manually re-enter data into payroll tax forms.

Complete Payroll HR Assistant
Available next month, Complete Payroll’s HR Assistant helps business owners manage employee information and stay in compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations. Integrated directly with Complete Payroll’s PC Entry software, HR Assistant provides employers with guidance to perform key HR events and processes.

HR Assistant integrates with information already in Complete Payroll — eliminating duplicate data entry and helping to ensure greater accuracy, while expediting employee administration and payroll. Regular updates are provided by CCH, the nation’s tax and business law leader since 1913, to help ensure that employers stay compliant.
