Two Small Business Security Threats for 2012

Small business owners have plenty to occupy their working hours, and that can make keeping up with security issues problematic. But your business data and the network it travels over are the life blood of your organization, so it literally pays to keep abreast of threats that can shut you down.

Paul Mah takes a look at a recent security report from McAfee Labs and homed in on two security threats that may pose serious problems for small business in the coming year. It may be cliché, but it's better to take your ounce of prevention now and avoid a costly pound of cure down the road.


As part of its annual evaluation of evolving security trends in the year ahead, McAfee Labs have put together a list of 10 threat predictions for enterprise IT in the year ahead. I received a copy of the list via email from McAfee, which I promptly scrutinized for tips that may be relevant to small and mid-sized businesses.
