A Chance to 'Benz' Your Small Business

By Lauren Simonds | Posted April 28, 2014

Everyone knows that running your own business takes a special kind of drive. But sometimes moving your business forward requires a special kind of ride. More specifically: a $50,000 custom Mercedes Sprinter van. What could your business do with a ride like that?

Answer that question in a 60- to 90-second video, and your business might drive away with that Sprinter van—and an additional $10,000 to customize it—courtesy of Mercedes-Benz and Fast Company.

Say what now?

You heard right. The two companies have joined forces to create the Drive Your Business Forward Contest. It's designed for small businesses that want to, well, "drive their business forward." And if your business relies on wheels to get the job done, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.  What would a customized Sprinter van do for you, and how would it help grow your business?

Drive Your Business Forward Contest

Enter the Drive Your Business Forward Contest for a chance to win a customized Mercedes Sprinter van for your small business.

You might want to see what last year's winner, 6D Helmets, had to say about the whole experience. After you watch that video, gather your team and get your ideas down on paper first. Then grab a video camera, because you need to submit a video explaining how you would use the van to advance your business.

The folks at Fast Company will also select up to 10 other entrants to compete for a chance to win a $10,000 Readers’ Choice Prize. That prize goes to the company whose video receives the most votes from the Fast Company online community. Check out the videos from two of last year's finalists—CoreFoods and The W Salon.

Want more information? Click here for the official contest rules. That Sprinter van won't drive itself; if you want to shift gears and put your business in overdrive, it's time to take action. The deadline for entering this contest is May 31.
