If you're looking for small business software, look to the cloud. Accessing apps in the cloud eliminates upfront costs on servers, and ongoing costs for power consumption, maintenance, security and data storage. Plus cloud apps offer anywhere access, which helps companies with remote workers. That's a good deal, even when you consider that the monthly subscription cost stays with you for the duration.

Now you can add workforce management software to the list of cloud-based apps, thanks to Kronos. Our colleagues at eWeek detail the news on the company's latest offering aimed at small and medium-sized businesses.

Workforce management solutions specialist Kronos announced the launch of Workforce Ready, a suite of cloud-based applications aimed at small and midsize businesses. The solution set provides companies with single-source access to real-time employee data, including a Time and Attendance feature designed to streamline time tracking, with automated collection of time and attendance information.
